Hot Bacon Dressing
1/4 pound bacon
1 medium onion
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
2 cups mayonnaise
Fry bacon. Remove bacon from grease. Add chopped onion and saute in bacon grease. Remove onion and save about one half of the grease. In separate pan, mix together water, sugar and vinegar. Bring to a boil and dissolve sugar. Add bacon, onion and grease. Add mayonnaise. Whisk to blend. Great on spinach salad.
