Are you one of those who stops at the nearest coffee shop and grab the biggest coffee the shop serves plus the biggest pastry you can buy and head off to work? Do you wish you can have a healthy breakfast each morning, but just don’t t know what to eat?
If you want a healthy breakfast try granola that is natural and low fat plain yogurt. If you plan on having this everyday, you can buy the granola in bulk as it will be cheaper. If you have a sweet tooth add a bit of honey. Be sure to just put enough in that you can taste this.Make sure you don’t t overdo it to the point you have to toss it because it is just too sweet,or you eat it but your teeth hurt while you are eating it. To avoid this try adding the least amount of honey and then tasting it and keep adding until you find it to your taste buds. Then remember your preference. If you need protein that does not mean that you have to skip the yogurt breakfast and head to your nearest restaurant for sausage. You also do not have to get the pan-out to fry bacon. All you have to do is one simple step to prepare your yogurt, then add some nuts to yogurt.
Did you know you can make salad dressing with yogurt? I will tell you how….when you get a recipe you’ll think you’ll like that has sour cream in them. It is a must for the recipe to call for sour cream. It gets simple from here, all you have to do is put plain yogurt in it instead of sour cream. But be forwarned that plain yogurt is a bit thinner and tends to run.
Here is a favorite recipe of mine my mom found on the internet. It is a salad dressing that has yogurt so you don’t have to omit sour cream for
1 (8 ounces) container plain low fat yogurt
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon Dijon style prepared mustard
1 teaspoon chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon chopped fresh chives
In a small bowl, beat together yogurt juice until smooth. Stir in mustard, parsley and chives. Refrigerate until ready to serve and keep extras in refrigerator.

Want to get more vegetables in your diet,
Do you want more vegetables in your diet for your health, or perhaps you want to be a good role model to your child who won’t eat their vegetables. If you don’t eat them and your child sees you not eating them, then how do you expect them to eat them. Remember little kids like to do what mom and dad does.
If you and your child taste vegetables again (assuming you as the adult haven’t been eating them if you don’t like them. If your children finally taste vegetables and hate them, I have a solution to your problem. An example of a vegetable in which you are going to put a sauce/dip of plain yogurt that you mix with other ingredients is broccoli. A plain yogurt mixture would be good with dill, and parsley and dijon mustard..
Another, and my favorite, is to use them in smoothies. Gert out those smoothie machines. I am going to give you the recipe for a delicious one, then I am going to tell you how I tweaked the recipe to my own taste.
Use 1/2 orange juice, low fat plain yogurt, 1/2 cup frozen or fresh strawberries, and half a banana.
I will tell you how I make it. I use a whole banana and freeze it, then add only frozen strawberries and add a about 4 or 5 ice. (you can add a few more, it is just I have a small smoothie maker. If you put it in the blender you might have more room for more ice cubes. With everything frozen it tastes just like a milk shake.
