Meatball Salad
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup soft bread crumbs
3 tablespoons chopped onion
pepper to taste
10 cups mixed salad greens with your choice of vegetables and cheeses.
Combine beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, salt and pepper in bowl. Shape into tiny, bite-size meatballs. Brown in skillet and chill. Toss salad mixture with meatballs.
Dressing:
1/4 cup hot water
1/2 teaspoon gravy browning sauce
1 clove garlic, minced
1 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon curry powder
1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Dissolve gravy browner in hot water. Blend in mayonnaise. Add curry powder, garlic, Worcestershire sauce and a few drops of Tabasco sauce. Chill. Serve over salad.
